On this day, we celebrate the exceptional positive impact of artists on global communities and culture. Art communicates powerfully and connects across diverse cultures. How is International Artist's Day being celebrated in your school or community?

All over the globe, arts organizations celebrate International Artist's Day. Many cities, such as San Miguel, Spain, sponsor arts festivals. Galleries around the world host open houses. For example, check out the special festivities sponsored by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Gallery of Ontario, or the National Galleries of Scotland.

This significant event allows us to focus on learning from the international artists of the past and present, while encouraging the artists of the future. Let's recognize the remarkable power of art to unite and inspire people from around the world!
